St. Albert the Great Catholic School principal Dr. Susan Kehoe, shared some great news with the school and parish this past week about the return of Family Mass. 

Great news! Family Mass is back at St. Albert the Great and is being held on the second Sunday of each month during the 10:00AM Mass. Mass is being held in conjunction with the Knights of Columbus Pancake Breakfast (this is amazing!). Our first Family Mass was held on Sunday, October 13. Many students and families attended the Mass! Students are also encouraged to wear their uniforms to share the message of Catholic school education and support.

During the Family Mass, St. Albert the Great school students and their Catholic families contribute to the worship of the community by being involved in various aspects of the Mass, including:

• Presentation of the gifts—entire family
• Lectors who read the Word of God—junior high or adults only
• Altar Server—must have received training
• Choir—students who sing in our weekly Wednesday Masses

Families are encouraged to attend and participate in Family Mass. Coming to Mass is an opportunity to worship and give thanks to God, to deepen communion with Christ, an opportunity to be inspired and to inspire others, and to participate in a community of the faithful.
