The Our Lady of Wisdom Newman Center is located in the heart of the University of Nevada, Reno campus, nestled in between school buildings on campus, in the walking path of students daily. 

Recently the space went through a $3.2M renovation that included the center, the church and the outside surrounding property. The Newman Center had been in declining physical and functional condition and in great need of repair and restoration for quite some time. 

The Mass and Blessing of the newly-renovated Newman Center at the University of Nevada Reno campus took place on the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary on August 15, 2024. More than 100 of the projects vendors and supporters gathered to share a meal and tour the new facility after Mass in a full chapel. The blessing marks a ceremonial beginning to the facility’s ministry for youth and young adults, modeled after cutting edge campus ministries from around the country. The renovations were made possible by many generous benefactors and companies under the direction of Bishop Mueggenborg.
