Is there such a thing as right and wrong?

Right and Wrong Do Exist

Right and wrong are not only subjective evaluations of actions. There also exist objective principles for determining right and wrong, which are external to subjective experience like reality itself.

Across all known history and culture, religious, moral and legal standards generally align which bears witness to this objective reality. The scriptures tell us this moral code is written on the human heart.

For people of faith, the revealed will of God is a helpful and necessary guide for perceiving right and wrong. This is especially true because our natural human inclinations are wounded and disordered by sin. It is this disordered reality that leads people to misjudge right and wrong.

Christians believe that Jesus reveals to us the fulness of God’s will which heals our wounded human inclinations. It is conformity with God’s will that ultimately determines right or wrong in any situation.
