The Life, Peace & Justice Commission of the Diocese Reno, Nevada is pleased to announce the recipients of the inaugural Rice Bowl Grant program.

Congratulations to the following four grantees of our diocese:

• St. Teresa of Avila parish, Christmas Dinner Basket project
• St. Francis of Assisi Food Pantry
• Society of St. Vincent de Paul, St. Teresa of the Little Flower
• Night Off the Streets, Inc. (NOTS), Carson City
  
  

Each of the grantees received the highest grant of $500 for the significant ongoing work of addressing food and shelter needs in our local communities.

These local funds are made available through the annual Lenten Rice Bowl program from Catholic Relief Services, which is the U.S. Catholic international relief and development agency.

Also, thank you to all the parishes of this diocese who participated in the annual Rice Bowl program! Such participation enabled our own local grant offering.
