It is with great sorrow we share that Brother Matthew Cunningham passed away on June 24, 2024. He will be greatly missed by his loving family, friends, and parishioners.

A member of the Brothers of the Holy Rosary, Br. Matthew was a servant of Catholic schools in Nevada for many decades.  He taught in schools in Reno and Las Vegas, was principal of Our Lady of the Snows Catholic School and, later, Bishop Manogue Catholic High School (1982-88).  Following the split of the state into the Diocese of Reno and the Diocese of Las Vegas, Br. Matthew served as Superintendent of Catholic Schools in Reno for many years.  His final job in the diocese was the role of Chancellor, which he held until his retirement in 2014.  He was a friend to many, many students and their families.  We give thanks for Br. There will be a Rosary at 7:30 pm on Sunday evening, June 30th at St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral. The funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am on Monday morning, July 1st at St. Thomas Aquinas Cathedral.
