Dear Parents of the St. Albert the Great Catholic School and Community,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the resignation of Principal Bruce Stewart at the end of the 2023-2024 school year term. Mr. Stewart is resigning to pursue other personal opportunities.
During Mr. Stewart’s tenure, several significant milestones have been achieved. These include the completion of the Six-year Accreditation which St. Albert the Great Catholic School achieved the top tier recommendation only requiring annual reports and a mid-term virtual check-in. Mr. Stewart helped implement safety initiatives that reassure parents that children are in safe hands. Additionally, he guided the school board which assists in the long-term sustainability of the school. Finally, Mr. Stewart has been a public servant serving as the WOEA Commissioner for the Diocese of Reno.
With al of Mr. Stewarts contributions, St. Albert the Great Catholic School is a highly desired educational institution with a full roster year after year and has a waitist from around the country from parents desiring for their children to attend. We are grateful for his vision, perseverance, and dedication to the Catholic Faith.
St. Albert the Great Catholic School will be seeking a new principal for the 2024-2025 school year. Details on the employment opportunity can be found on the Diocese of Reno website.
May God Bless you,
